They're alright, I guess. I'm still trying different things, like minimally applying GIAB, or not applying it at all. The problem with me right now is that if the skin that grows splits due to smiling eating etc, I will get localised crusting, on the area where the skin split. But apart from that, the skin that remains attached to the lip is still good. To get the new skin to form, I need to sleep for about 9 hours. I have tried sleeping for about four hours at night and when I woke up the skin didn't seem fully developed.

It's interesting you say that the method didn't work for you. Have you tried stopping the GIAB once you see new skin covering the lip?
