Re: Just diagnosed with Hashimoto. Now what?
Hello, Lexi,
I'm new here, but this is my 2 cents' worth after reading your problem, which did scare me since I recently started on Iodoral. I took 50 mg today and started a could of weeks on 12.5, then upped it to two, then three.
Anyway, I grabbed my
Iodine Crises book and there's some info on Hashi's. Not a lot, but some. I'm short on funds, don't have insurance, but I started this anyway. I have to find a doctor who understands iodine, and that's going to be difficult where I live. But if I were you, I would try to find a knowledgeable physician in
Iodine to test you again, someone who understands about Dr. Abraham's and other's work in this field.
On pg. 51 of Lynne Farrow's book, someone asked this question: What if a person has an auto immune thyroid disease such as Hashimoto's? If you get a chance and have the book, please read it. The answer is too long for me to type here. She also mentions to see Dr. Jeffrey Dach's article about this.

I realize that you may have already done this, and I hope that you get better.
Kind regards & good health to you!
