Not to start a debate on the support forum, but doesn't this challenge Abraham's notion that high Iodine protects the thyroid from hashimoto's?
I re-read his paper last night suggesting that high Iodine leads to iodinated lipids in the thyroid and combined with high magnesium intake lowers the oxidative damage done to the surrounding tissue with the TPO enzyme.
If lexi developed Hashimoto's while taking high iodine, high magnesium, and high selenium, then this suggests that Dr. Abraham might be wrong about this mechanism.
