Re: 13 day waterfast!!

howdy, i am on day 6 myself of WF using distilled water..i dont know how long i will go. i am craving every single food item i see on tv or smell while driving so i plan on fasting until i only crave wholesome food. me craving high fat and high Sugar foods means that my body is still ill. i have done many fasts before but that was when i was in my early 20s..but i was also more healthy. as of the last year or 2 i have picked up quite the habit of drinking 4-5 times a week, smoking a few packs of cigs per week, and some harder drugs that i dont want to discuss here. anyways, some of my experiences thus far: days 1-5 were pretty much horrible...i was craving everything and i was super crabby and lightheaded. today is the first day that i haven't felt lightheaded every time i get up from sitting. oddly enough i have had no urge to drink or smoke and i dont seem to be suffering any withdrawal symptoms at all which is sorta strange to me because everyone talks about their withdrawals. my breath was so foul up til today, it's still foul but not as much as it was. i have been sleeping great...my bed has been so comfy for some reason and i lay my head down around 10 and then wake up at like 630 or 7 without waking up once and that is something that has never happened to me. in addition to my newly acquired habits over the last couple years i also put on like 30lbs...i have lost 10lbs so far but i attribute that to mostly water. i have been having some extreme emotional ups and downs and have found that i want to freak out on people sometimes but i feel like that after not eating for 4-5 hours...ha. I remember fasting back when i was younger i used to get these extreme emotional highs and bursts of uncontrollable energy and i would only sleep like 2 hours a night but i am glad that is not happening now because i never like that emotionally out of control feeling that fasting had on me. at least this time i can control my emotions. i made sure to get some sun the other day and i laid out by the pool for about 1.5 hours. i have gone to the gym and done some light walking for maybe half an hour and i also sat in the sauna for maybe 15 minutes to aid in detox. so yeah that's about it. sorry i wrote so much but hey there really isn't anything to do on a fast except read and write. on that note you should check this out...it's from a super old book and it's all about this lady who oversaw long term fasts. it is written in a way that makes me have to read some sentences like 3 times just to understand it but it makes the time go by way faster. the links to each chapter are on the left. start from the first. http://www.soilandhealth.org/02/0201hyglibcat/020107hazzard/02010700frame.html

good luck with your fast. i will be checking in here many times a day if you wanna share your experiences
