Re: The Living God speaks to His children directly.
As for Bill Johnson
When a man denies the very nature of God, when his church supports soaking spirits of the dead (which is a form of divination and necromancy)

“Life and Wellness”
blog on July 6, 2013 an entry called ‘Love Shack Time’: “I was talking with Ray Hughes the other day and was telling him about using a 528 HZ tuning fork as a prophetic act.
Someone told me that this tuning fork is called the tuning fork of LOVE…
” (Crystals and tuning forks are used in NEW AGE therapy – and have nothing to do with Christianity in any way).
I think we have to ask ourselves "when do we stop quoting this guy?" When does this become the doctrines of demons?
How much heresy does it take MST before we can say "you know what, these people may be wolves in sheep clothing"?
You talk a lot about feelings, and personal things that can only be measured subjectively
God gave us his word to have a way to objectively measure if something does not smell right. You say when we apply this objective measurement, that we are Bible worshipers or idolaters.
When the Crowd approached Peter in Acts 2 and asked "what must we do" Peter responded with this.
And Peter said to them, “Repent and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.
For the promise is for you and for your children and for all who are far off, everyone whom the Lord our God calls to himself.” (Acts 2:38-39 ESV)
So Peter says you will receive the holy spirit and that it is a promise! So MST, I have repented, been baptized, and by the promise I have the holy spirit.
Both the book and the spirit tell me to measure other members of the faith. Paul writes a harrowing letter in 1 Cor:5 in regards to not even associating with sinful brethren.
In Matthew 18 it tells us to treat those that sin against us, and do not repent as tax collectors and gentiles. So how do we objectively measure these people? By the writings of the book! Paul even reiterates in 1 Cor that he is not just talking about sexual immorality, but also a host of other sin.
I wrote to you in my letter not to associate with sexually immoral people—not at all meaning the sexually immoral of this world, or the greedy and swindlers, or idolaters, since then you would need to go out of the world.
But now I am writing to you not to associate with anyone who bears the name of brother if he is guilty of sexual immorality or greed, or is an idolater, reviler, drunkard, or swindler—not even to eat with such a one.
For what have I to do with judging outsiders? Is it not those inside the church whom you are to judge? God judges those outside. “Purge the evil person from among you.” (1 Corinthians 5:9-13 ESV)
So I say I am not a worshiper of the Bible, but of Christ. Everything in scripture is pointing us to Christ. I wrote earlier in this thread already in regards to what John said about adding or taking away from this revelation.
We can talk about all these feelings we have. but the bible says the heart is deceitful
The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately sick; who can understand it? (Jeremiah 17:9 ESV)
So how do I know that what you say you are feeling or that something you are saying God said is real? I measure it against his written word. This is not worshiping the bible, but doing exactly what is told me to and test the spirits.
Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, for many false prophets have gone out into the world. (1 John 4:1 ESV)
