Re: Blind religion vs. obvious Truth. (edit)

You said: "What do you think about the pervading spirit of religion throughout the majority of the mainstream church and the spirit quenching powerless religion of man it is imparting to the masses complete with the overwhelmingly damaging false doctrine of man that the gifts are not for today?"

Of course, I am not for spirit quenching powerless religion of man.

You said: "...have you ever considered that this is a large part of the big deception of which the Lord Jesus speaks? Spirit Quenching Religion Blinds just as it blinded the Pharisees."

Yes, I agree with you. That's why I don't turn to these kind of churches just because I see so much error in churches that do believe in the gifts. Both kinds of churches are messed up. I want the truth. I want to live and walk in the truth. I am not going to deny spiritual gifts, as this girl did, and go to a church that doesn't believe in them and that preaches another kind of deception. Of course, some churches, I guess, just keep quiet about them. Some members believe in them and operate in them such as Refreshed's church, but they don't preach against them like John MacArthur does. It sounds like she is in a good church.

I think the girl in the video was very unhappy with the Pentecostal church she was in. The Holy Spirit may have been drawing her out due to false teaching, control etc. This caused her to go to a church that is completely against the gifts. Her theology is now really messed up most likely caused by the first church. I see her as very confused, but of course Vektek does not because Vektek thinks she now has the full truth. I know she does not. It does sound like her new church is able to minister to her to help her heal from all the spiritual abuse etc. and that is good. God can use churches like this even though they are walking in some error. They still have a lot of truth that is being preached that God can use to minister to people.

Ed, we are all at different places in our spiritual journey. It is better for some people to go to a church that does not believe in spiritual gifts than to not go at all. Some people could not make it outside of those walls. They would backslide. The Lord may have lead her to this new church because they could minister to her. I know it is obvious to some of us that she is really messed up with theology, but there are much more important things than believing in spiritual gifts and operating in them. God meets people where they are. God, in fact, has called some to be Pastors in these churches. God is blessing many of these churches. The Holy Spirit is moving in many of these churches, just not operating in the gifts. God is meeting people where they are and we need to realize this and respect this. People can't help what they believe. We cannot drill a hole in their skulls and pour the full truth into their brains. Have you ever thought that we also may not have everything correct and that God is meeting us where we are at too?
