The following are just some of the lifestyle centers owned or operated by Seventh-day Adventists. The administration and philosophy are distinctly wholistic and spiritual in nature and follow guidelines set up by the operating boards whose members are Seventh-day Adventists. The people who are served are of every background, race, and religion. Employees are usually exclusively Seventh-day Adventist in the lifestyle centers. Many of the lifestyle centers also operate certificate training or degree programs for lifestyle educators. All of the programs at the lifestyle centers involve exercise, nutrition, cooking demonstration, health lectures, and personal evaluation and treatment plans. Some specialize in weight reduction, reversal of diabetes, and hypertension and other chronic diseases. The programs also always include a spiritual emphasis of mind-body interactions in the influence on health.
