Brain Injury - therapies and solutions
You have certainly gone through alot so I can really sympathize. I saw you post on the
Ask Barefoot Herbalist Forum and was curious what you were into.
I have tried most of the therapies on my website and so I post information to bring more awareness to those that are suffering and in need of help. So here is some knowledge that may be of benefit to you on your journey:
BRAIN INJURY STORY:
A seven-year-old Argentine boy, Ivo Cardile, has defied doctors’ predictions that he would never walk again. Jorge Cardile was told by these doctors that his son wouldn’t be able to walk because he had suffered permanent brain damage upon being born. The father decided to take matters into his own hands. Since he is a mechanic he was good at building cars and fixing problems. Jorge invented a homemade rehabilitation device for his son to train his body to walk. This machine has proven successful and his disabled son now walks fairly well.
Unfortunately, the BBC removed this video from YouTube due to copy-write laws. Here I found another webpage that has it still intact. If you are patient to wait through the advertisement this short 2 minute video is very inspiring. You can view his video here:

We hear many children with cerebral palsy get better riding a horse a few times a week. But not many people understand why it works. The brain will make the necessary adjustments in the body when trying to continuously balance itself. Here are some PRINCIPLES of how movement-based therapies work to repair the brain.
Feldenkrais Method:
“The Feldenkrais Method works by facilitating the formation of new neural connections and patterns, irrespective of the cause of the child’s limitations. New and effective patterns of movement, thought, and feeling are learnt.”
The Anat Baniel method:
“Movement and Awareness are the main tools utilized for communicating with the brain, providing information the brain requires in order to form missing neural patterns.”
This is the key and base therapy every good martial artist uses to heal and repair their nervous system:
STANDING STAKE METHOD:
Zhan Zhuang is the Chinese word for “standing like a post” or “standing like a tree”. This form of standing stake is a special method of spiritual training in Chinese martial arts. Static postures are used for a certain length of time in order to develop efficiency of movement and perfection of structural alignment. It is very important to those working on core issues of abuse or physical trauma. Surprisingly, it is an efficient recovery process for those suffering from stroke that often leads to partial paralysis.
If you like listening to audio then this is a new high-tech way to heal the brain and rebuild new neural pathways:
CENTERPOINT RESEARCH:
"While you are listening to the Holosync® soundtracks used in the program, your brain is creating new neural pathways between the left and right hemispheres. After approximately four months of practice with Awakening Prologue, the initial level of the program, the brain will have completed its creation of the new neural structure needed to handle the stimulus it’s been receiving."
Lastly, here are a few of my website links that you can review, research and decide what is best for you.
