the authors are incredibly intelligent people who took time away from their careers to just focus on fixing their health. Please read the amazon reviews, and check out their website. There's a lot of quackery out there with candida diets and i really think it's smart to just go where the Science points. Put simply you need to eat high fat but still have about 600 kcal of carbs per day as this is needed for your immune system to function, but please look into it more thoroughly. The author cured himself of candida and he writes a lot in the comments section on their website, tons of good info there.

With all due respect to natway, i think that's awful advice. 30 bananas a day is a vegan site and they put their veganism first then try to make everything else (like health) fit around that ideology. Perfect health diet and other paleo type books/blogs put health first and they just see where that takes them.

As far as overall health goes, i do something called buteyko breathing. It's great but that's something for another time, please check it out on google.

Also, hypothyroid is no surprise at all if you're eating low carb. just google "low carb hypothyroid" and you'll see what i mean.
