>>P.S. About the the distillers.....Isn't it possible that all the gunk from distillers would also be visible with a really good filtration system? Has anyone tried looking at filter results?
34154,
If I understand your question right, I have tested three types of water: tap, filtered, and spring water seperately and ran it through my distiller.
I put TAP water in my distiller and it had the most gunk on the bottom of it; including horrible looking "rust" spots! I assume it was metal...it was copper color and smelled like iron. I then put the FILTERED water through the distiller and it had gunk minus the rust spots. Then, I put in six bottles of Poland SPRING water and it had the least amount of that gunk which I observe as a white residue.
The only way to learn the truth about this topic of debate is through experience. I could NEVER consume 8-10 glasses of filtered water a day. When it comes to drinking distilled water it was so easy. My kidneys could handle it - effortlessly. I always get bloated if I drink filtered or spring water.
