Candida Insomnia! What to do?

argh!!!! I'm having some sleeping trouble.

About 10 years ago, I started suffering from daytime sleepiness and brainfog, among other things. I would sleep 9-10 hours each night and still feel unrefreshed.

Finally, I met a physician who was able to suggest some things that helped.

First, I took the Buhner protocol herbs for Lyme bacter for about a year following a low CD57 test result. That helped a lot, but didn't make everything completely better.

Then, following more testing, I was put on oral DMSA chelation therapy. After taking the DMSA for some time, I began to experience insomnia which progressively got worse. After a while, I developed an acute rash which was so bad, I couldn't go to work. I took some antihistamines for symptomatic relief and returned to work.

However, another physician has told me that candidaisis can develop when taking DMSA. He advised me to immediately discontinue the DMSA and then start HSO probiotics and Nystatin, 500000 units twice daily for ten days.

The insomnia is as bad as ever, and now that I've finished the Nystatin, the itching is slowly returning.

I have been taking 4-5 mg of melatonin before bed in order to get to sleep, but even then, I tend to wake up early.

Given that I likely have some candidaisis, what can I do to relieve my insomnia and knock out the rash for good?
