Re: Paxil and Klonopin

Most likely your "anxiety" is due to low blood volume, which causes your heart to try extremely hard to pump blood to your body causing palpitations etc.

Low blood volume is a sign of infection.

SSRI's help because they calm your nervous which helps your body fight infection. Serotonin is also a transport molecule for immune cells. So essentially ssri's aren't really treating a brain imbalance at all, but helping calm an immune system infection.

Paxil is one of the worst ssri's you can take. This guy gets kick backs from companies to prescribe paxil. Tell him you aren't comfortable with paxil and you would rather try lexapro (the cleanest ssri).

Use 2.5mg lexapro for 8 weeks or so, and then bump up to 5mg if there are no problems.

I use ssri and they help me and many others a lot. I switch between a tca and an ssri depending on what my body needs... if I crash I tend to switch back to a tca to get good sleep but I try to stay on an ssri 100% of the time.
