Re: Paxil and Klonopin
Hello. well, personally, I don't agree with him. He does not know anything about AF .. as with most all conventional MDs. Doctors of holistic, naturopathic, alternative medicine and anti-aging dr.s seem to have a clearer understanding.
But, as for the SSRI. If you are having non ending, long term symptoms of
Depression and anxiety, even while treating your AF whole heartedly through nutritional, supplimental and spiritual-emotional, helping to calm the brain neurons may help.
It did for me. But, in this stage of my AF, after having been on Zoloft for the past ten years and now it's not working anymore ( and my serotonin test results were chronically low) ... more confirmation as to why I've been following the AF protocal faithfully and still feeling like crap in the head . . . I slowly weaned off the Zoloft ( still am, now down to about 5mg. a day) and have been taking St. Johns Wort and Tryptophan daily now for 4 weeks and am having great results.. Fromw what I understand SSRI's use what little serotonin you already have and just keep it circulating. Well, I did not even have much to circulate with. But, coming off SSRI's at some point and time is horrible. The withdrawal symptoms are not fun at all.
But, in the beginning starting on ZOloft, was wonderful. It worked well for several years. So, it's really up to you. If does help. But, I would not stay on it for over 2 years, and than wean very slowly off it.
St. Johns wort and Tryptophan actually help to increase your own natural serotonin.
