Hey afflicted,

Very good points on the biblical references to fasting. The only instance I found where fasting was both food and drink (water) was the time Moses fasted. In that passage it states specifically that he went without both food and drink. I did not find such clear definition in other fasting instances, however. My search was merely cursory and not diligent, so if there are more, I didn't see them.
