If the herbal cleansing can change the ability of a person to convert plant nutrition...
It may work for some.
There has NEVER been an entirely vegan\vegetarian society throughout history... ever.
There have been people who have survived on a near vegetarian diet. These folks were the lower, working\slave classes of greater societies like the Inca, and Egyptians... they are the same people they find historical diseases like diabetes in, and their life expectancies were much lower than those in the upper classes.
Now do we need meat for breakfast lunch and dinner? No... do we need to eat a 16 ounce steak at a sitting... no... problem in our country, in general, is that we perhaps eat too much meat, and it is generally overcooked on top of it. Neither is good.
One reason people are probably eating far too much meat, and that others are finding themselves unable to be healthy without it, is that our food is becoming evermore nutritionally poor with each passing season and animal fats and proteins are very concentrated forms of nutrition, especially if coming from free range, organically raised animals.
When digging... an interesting thing that came to light in one China Study rebuttal was that a high protein diet protected *mice* and *rats* from the damaging effects of high doses of aflatoxin - fungus.
Yes, the author compiled a huge book full of data correlation, manipulation and selective reporting... the whole book has been torn to shreds and shown to be a bit of a fraud IMO.
Fungal infections are an increasing problem in *all* life on this planet... bats, bees, birds, crops, humans... etc.
