Re: SCIENCE: Has anyone had an ultrasound before & after a cleanse and had successful results?
In short, yes -- I have had a before and after ultrasound.
After the initial ultrasound my doctor informed me that I had
Gallstones and should have my gallbladder removed, that people could go on living a long and healthy life just fine without a gallbladder. I didn't like the 'just yank it' attitude. I figure the gallbladder is there for a reason! And after doing research, I discovered that many people suffered numerous complications from having the procedure done. With a looming surgical procedure hanging over me, I continued my research, which led me to the liver cleanse recipe here on this site. What do I have to lose I figured, and canceled the surgery.
I did the cleanse and after passing what looked like small pea sized stones, I collected them and took them into a lab to have them analyzed. Imagine the crazy looks I received bringing in 'gallstones' to be analyzed from an at home cleanse! Ha! Well, they agreed to send them to the lab, and days later called to inform me that they were not found to be gallstones. I asked what the samples were composed of and was told mostly cholesterol, salts and proteins -- isn't this what's in a gallstone? I decided to continue with my cleanse despite the naysayers and their skeptical attitudes, doing it once a month for about half a year. My 'attacks' became less frequent and finally just disappeared. I had another ultrasound done at a different clinic and my gallbladder was found to be empty. The specialist said that it didn't look like there was any need for surgery, especially if I wasn't experiencing pain.
So, were the 'things' passed during the cleanse actual gallstones? Did my body just rid the
Gallstones on it's own without the cleanse? Who knows. All I know is that there were
Gallstones in my gallbladder and after doing the cleanse numerous times...nothing. And I have been pain free for 5 years.
