Re: M Re: 21 WF Days -- Salt intake??edited for errors
Manuka is considered the best. I think that all raw honey is healing so not sure if Manuka is a must. Also I havent been to Australia so I dont have a direct experience of the tree and so forth. I tend to prefer local. If you are breaking a
Water Fast I would try fruit juice or sucking the juice out of fruit first. Maybe even veggie stock- depending on how long you fasted for. I buy Really raw honey, and lately Honey Pacifica, only the COLD PACK Honey. If it says raw this doesn't mean raw in America. They heat it up to 140 -145 F and call it raw even though all the enzymes are destroyed. I know that ayurveda considers raw honey a medicine and cooked a poison. Bulgarian high mountain shepherds/bee keepers were thought to be the longest living people because of the honey consumption.
I come from a bee keeper family so over the years I've been reading and listening to my Grandpa and Dad talk about the healing powers of honey. It's such a labor intensive product that I also try to keep that in my mind when i consume it... out of respect for the bees' hard work :)
As far as if you should come out of a fast with honey is totally up to ur own intuitive inclination but definitely include small amounts in your diet :) also look into royal jelly!
hope that helps a little
