Re: your thoughts on water fasting for "maintenance", considering the environmental load these days...

Hello Design. (capital D) Or should I call you Water? :-)(trying to be more laid back)Water is Life, after all. (and a good CD exists with that same name; nice music. I even played it during the sunny days of my Wfast.)

"All I've known most of my life is that the less i eat, the better i feel."

you and me both.

I wonder then, if we aren't truly candidates for Inedia. (I was craving a SINGLE LEAF of spinach after my first-ever three days fasting:cooking and couldn't eat.) And then, sometimes the scent of something like a flower only, would be like a meal. Have you read about the breatharians that Yogananda connected with? )

Or, this is the alternate view--the more 'nay-saying'and worldly one: were we simply blighted very young? ( and we knew in the way animals do that to eat when poisoned is simply foolish?) I know I had a lot of fillings by the time I was ten. Why? I wasn't a candy freak. Flouride probably...I also had had a few bouts of nephritis by age ten--and ended up with one kidney "half the size of the other". I plowed forward anayway with the WF, even though I heard some mumbling about kidney disease as being a good reason not to.

I was doing a bit more reading about edema, and thinking about the kidney connection--kideneys are deep-seated fear...EFT agin comes to mine.

Anyway--just a few thoughts. I have enjoyed the one meal a day scene: about 19 hours of no food, and then the window.
That feels quite gentle.

I have always liked celebrations; such as new and full moons, sesonal changes, etc. I like the idea of a sesonal fast, and perhaps the diualy fast with one meal...

I really DO believe (I know, I sound evangelical) that once the system is quite clear (and I mean 'mind-in-error' and its associated fear, anger, jealousy, pride, ignorance, attachment, sorrow... more than the physical)then the system probably needs VERY LITTLE.

Google Therese Neuman, Jasmuheen, etc...

Chiron.
