Re: strongly disagree with plant based diets
Hi Chris,
You have a valid point that I hadn't addressed regarding the moral implications when speaking of world hunger verses eating meat. Since my 21 day fast I haven't had any meat and don't really miss it. Before the fast I really didn't eat all that much meat anyway but there are many who consume meat three times a day. If everyone were to stop eating meat the food the animals consume certainly would feed masses of people.
I do have a moral conscience but at the same time if I really want to have a grass fed steak I would still eat it. I however would jump on the band wagon if everyone in the world were willing to stop eating meat.
I have lost 12 pounds since eating a mostly plant based diet and I'm feeling great so I don't feel as if I need to eat meat, I get plenty of protein in other things I consume.
My objection to the previous post was that he insinuated Christ doesn't want us to eat any meat and I just can't agree with that but then we each have our own beliefs and they are all different.
Thanks for pointing out the issue for me to consider in the future, I realize if we each made a sacrifice it would make a world of difference.
