Yes, the word "Pharisee" is not unlike other 4 letter words that are more commonly used. Of course I'm not saying ALL the people that subscribe to Armstrong's 'interpretation' are all like that. I speaking of a few instances from personal experience and many instances from others' experiences that I've read about.

As to your approach to "seeking," I really cannot find much falt with it. I believe Jesus when he said:

Matthew 7:7-8 (King James Version)
7Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:

8For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.

Luke 11:8-10 (King James Version)
8I say unto you, Though he will not rise and give him, because he is his friend, yet because of his importunity he will rise and give him as many as he needeth.

9And I say unto you, Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you.

10For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.
