Re: The whole truth and nothing but the Truth, so help me God.

Well, it seems that my first post ruffled alot of feathers and inspired alot of rebuttal. BUT, overwhelmingly, all of that scholarly rebuttal from so many brilliant minds is made up of QUESTIONS (meant simply to cast doubt because you actually have nothing good to say in order to refute what I did say), not "qualified" STATEMENTS (a qualified statement means that the statement is backed up in the same sentence instead of a 3 paragraph "scenario"/line of reasoning).

I have even been told by evanluck that I am making the assertion that the "bible" (that word is not found in scripture) is "the word of God"...WRONG, it should be obvious from my first post that I am saying that the "bible" is NOT the "word of God"...The following is what I wrote about the bible (man's designation for canonized scripture) being the "word of TRUTH"

"the introductory doctrine of Jesus (Hebrews 6:1),..."word of TRUTH" (2 Timothy 2:15, Ephesians 1:13, John 14:6)...".

Oh, great scholar (or humbly aspiring scholar), if you could actually READ and SEE (acknowledge/SEE) what is written, then you would have a better chance to develop "eyes to SEE". Now do you understand what The Lord said in Matthew 13:13?...

"because seeing they do not see, and hearing they do not hear, nor do they understand".....HEAR the mighty words of The Lord, they are sharper than any two edged sword, peircing deep, even to the division of a person's spirit/character and their soul.

This has been happening all throughout history in the institutions of "Christianity" (I put the word "christianity" in quotes because originally, Jesus devotion was called "THE WAY", Acts 24:22 and 11:26) because churchgoers actually READ OVER any verse that is not compatible with their agenda of being a good, right, and proper follower of the "moneychangers" in the pulpit. They might actually SEE the verse, but they do not acknowledge it and make it meaningful to themselves (the result is that UNDERSTANDING of the verse is impossible because they chose to ignore the verse completely).

This is a very good example of what The Lord said in Matthew 13:13.
==========

The phrase "self explanatory" is common. It means that a sentence needs no explanation because IT (the sentence) explains ITself (IN CONTEXT her, the "self" that is mentioned does not refer to a person, good try).

Yes, Matthew 28:18 is "self explanatory". The bible DID NOT hang on the cross, there is no blood on the paper or in the ink, there are no wounds, no hands to have any wounds and no where the blood of Jesus could flow from, there also is no place that water could flow from.

Are you beginning to see that there is a difference between Jesus and the bible (hint, Jesus SUFFERED). Jesus would like us to notice that He suffered PAIN, the bible was perfectly comfortable when Jesus SUFFERED for us.

It is kind of crazy and unreasonable to say that a book was COMFORTABLE, but, apparently, it has to be said.
