Re: I want to apologize!
If you understood God's Word, which is Scripture AND Christ Jesus, you would understand the importance of scripture. Quoting scripture out of context is the exact same tool that those "puppet of the moneychangers " that you speak of use themselves to deceive others.
"Self-explanatory" as in explanation derived from "self?" Then what does that indicate as your object of worship and belief? The correct way is to let scripture explain scripture. If anything ascribed to God contradicts Scripture, then it cannot be "truth." It would not be "of God."
Isaiah 28:9-13 (King James Version)
9Whom shall he teach knowledge? and whom shall he make to understand doctrine? them that are weaned from the milk, and drawn from the breasts.
10For precept must be upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little:
11For with stammering lips and another tongue will he speak to this people.
12To whom he said, This is the rest wherewith ye may cause the weary to rest; and this is the refreshing: yet they would not hear.
13But the word of the LORD was unto them precept upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little; that they might go, and fall backward, and be broken, and snared, and taken.
Here are some of God's Word that I've posted before:
2 Timothy 3:16-17 (New International Version)
16All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, 17so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.
Matthew 22:28-39 (New International Version)
28Now then, at the resurrection, whose wife will she be of the seven, since all of them were married to her?"
29Jesus replied, "You are in error because you do not know the Scriptures or the power of God."
Mark 12:9-11 (New International Version)
9"What then will the owner of the vineyard do? He will come and kill those tenants and give the vineyard to others. 10Haven't you read this scripture:
" 'The stone the builders rejected
has become the capstone;
11the Lord has done this,
and it is marvelous in our eyes'?"
Why did Jesus emphasize Scripture so much, if it is as irrelevant as you say it is? Does the scripture agree with what you are suggesting?
Do you believe God, or yourself? If you want me to find more evidence that contradicts what you say, I can find tons more.
