I just wanted to comment on your comment regarding the necessity of Christ.

From what you wrote, it seems obvious that you are not a believer in Christ Jesus, thus your comment. Belief and following Christ is indeed a basic requirement for salvation. Now, I'm not trying to convert you or anybody to become a believer or follower of Christ. It is not up to me to turn you into a believer or cause you to change your mind, but God's. He is the One who calls people to Him, not I.

I was once an atheist, or agnostic to be more precise. I did not choose Christ. Christ chose me. This may be difficult to understand, and even harder to explain. So, I will just leave it at that. Of course if you have any questions I will be more than happy to oblige.

As to the falsehoods being taught in may of todays churches, this fact cannot be denied. The thing is though, just because these so called "Christian teachers" and preachers are misinterpreting scripture or blatantly twisting scripture for their own gain, it doesn't mean that what is actually being said in the Bible is false. The Bible is Truth. If there is any supposed contradictions they are only contradictions in ones understanding of scripture and not of the scripture itself. This should cause us to seek further the truth, to reveal to one's self why the seeming contradictions. If one seeks they may find that scripture does not in fact contradict. This is what I found myself. God allowed me to find Him. Perhaps He found me, is a better description of what happened. For we would not truly understand unless by revelation. Even then, not all the believers would fully understand. For many are called and few chosen to be the Christ's bride.

Matthew 20:16
So the last shall be first, and the first last: for many be called, but few chosen.

Matthew 22:14
For many are called, but few are chosen.

God's ways are sometimes beyond our human understanding.
