#106570,
whatever happened to my request for any further discussions on this via my inbox so as not to digress away from the main task of this forum?
You have obviously chosen to disregard this to the possible detriment of existing and new members alike. That was very thoughtful of you.

I suggest you get your facts straight in regard to the Nation Council Against Health Fraud..........the founder......the well known "expert" and Stephen Barrett who has lost far more legal cases than he has brought against individuals and bodies of Alternative Medicine that I or anyone can ever remember...............

Stephen Barrett has absolutely no credibility as an "expert" on anything. He was a former Psychiatrist and we should all know how much credibility that profession has had over the years.
Shall I go on?

For the record:
Dr H M Shelton devoted his entire life to the preservation of records and experiences of many other MD's dating back from the 1850's and was so enthused by their testimony and that of their patients, he also qualified many times over (D.P., N.D., D.C., D.N.T., D.N. Sc., D.N.Ph., D.N. Litt., Ph. D., D. Orthp) with the premise of establishing his own school of health based on this knowledge, and to which he expanded by supervising over 60,000 fasting patients in his lifetime and who were mostly in the chronic stages of disease: they had already been the rounds of orthodoxy to no avail.

Your flippancy astounds me.
Sheltons experience and that of other medically qualified Doctors within Natural Hygiene, such as Tilden, Page, Oswald, Gove, Thacker-Trall and many many others abandoned the "drugging practice" of medicine as useless, and where Nature and Nature alone became the authority in the matter of health recovery and freedom from disease.
Their success was unequaled: even today.

Not one of these medically qualified pioneers have referred to fasting as the cause of ED's because this was NOT THEIR EXPERIENCE, or that of any other person who has this knowledge at their disposal from the patients under their care, and who fasted mostly to completion.

Shelton was not infallible, and where it is flippant and disrespectful of you to comment that if any opinion about fasting is not backed by Shelton himself it is wrong. These are the words of someone who knows nothing of what they are talking about, and in complete ignorance of the true facts.

This is also not a matter of discrediting everyone who uses or endorses Alt' Medicine, as we live in a democratic world (for the most part), and where anyone may choose the path to health recovery that fits their mindset, or actually works for them: Natural Hygiene is just ONE perspective on health-recovery and the maintenance of good health, and where it relies on the self-healing powers of the body to accomplish that aim; If you break a bone in your body then just sit back and watch as to who or what does the healing!!!

I for one did not say that fasting and hair loss were not synonymous and where this was not an experience of Dr Shelton: perhaps some members were over-zealous in their statements and opinions without doing any research beforehand.

I just cannot believe or understand your mindset Loosie...........

THE WHOLE POINT OF FASTING and the RECOVERY OF GOOD HEALTH, IS TO ACTUALLY LISTEN TO YOUR BODY. WHO ON EARTH IS GOING TO DISCREDIT ANYONE FOR LISTENING TO THEIR BODIES?
In the case of ED's, this has been shown and demonstrated to have psychological/emotional origins, and where these came first, and the fasting as a result came second and a product of the former.

What actually is "Scientific evidence" Loosie?
I shall tell you.
Evidence that for the most part has been twisted and doctored to suit the sales of prescribed drugs and medical procedures that are either worthless and/or superfluous. When will people like you ever learn: money is the name of the game here. The USA for example spends trillions of $$$ annually on so-called healthcare and medicine for patients that are sick and where their symptoms are "managed" to stay that way.

REAL SCIENTIFIC evidence comes from the experience of those who recover their health without the intervention of "Medical Science" via Natural means and methods, and where fasting is just one of those methods to achieve that aim. It is Natures own method; how about a discussion with Nature to tell her that she is wrong and very much mistaken?

The rest of your post is not worthy of any further comment.
