I believe that Anya made some good points about fasting being the cause of eating disorders. She appeared to have some first hand experience on this matter. I also could see how this could be a possibility. It was interesting to read her opinion. I don't think any new member would be quaking with fear and put off fasting if they read her posts.
Because you are so passionate about your topic, you should be able to voice your concern about her statement freely. This is why your position as moderator will interfere with your passion of giving your opinion, backed up by Shelton. The two just don't mix. You called her post "a gross distortion of the truth", but it actually may not be. Passion and neutrality don't mix.
If you can manage to do the two things simultaneously then go for it ... but you know ... in the real world (if you can call the internet the real world)!
