Zen Buddhism has no gods to worship. *some additions*

uhm there are several types of buddhism. btw there are NO gods or dieties in correct Zen. FYI

heres some info on it:

and more intelligent and tolerant people accept zen buddhism as more as philosophy and way of life vs an organized religion.

I also take some teaching from Dzogchen philosophy and also Tibetan Bon.

also in "traditional" Theravada Buddhism not ALL people believe in gods, nor is it a 'requirement'

heres some info on that:

so I'm not sure if you are confusing more Hindu teachings or perhaps Mahayana Buddhism?(where most have shrines and meditate and pray several times a day usually.. my best friend is Thai and her father does this like clock work)

A lot of people claim to be Buddhist but really have no clue about the teachings or different types.. or even heard of Tibetan Bon and the similarities. ahem

I could go on.. about the different types and history.. and who worships what god and all that.. but its time consuming and taxing via net and well this is why I practice Zen, I personally have no need for it.

heres some info to educate yourself thats not terribly confusing to read about the types:

btw have you heard of Lama Surya Das? he's an excellent author and I see him speak and goto his lectures and yrly retreat.

and before this go any further.. id really appreciate people refraining about scoffing about my beliefs and what you think you know of me and my 'character'. Because I can see this coming already.
