so can someone clarify to me what Raine is saying here? maybe she can herself?
Because Loosie doesn't believe in god or rather praying during meals she has issues in her life?
Not what I said at all. As the first post stated with the disclaimer at the top, the post was originally written by Norris Chumley for the Beliefnet.com site. I simply "cut and pasted" because it resonated with comments made by others in the past on this forum.
What Loosie does or does not do regarding her spiritual life is not my concern - but I do think it's disrespectful for her to slam others that do have spiritual beliefs.
hum, interesting.
I guess a lot of people have issues in their lives then.
I think its funny that Raine always says people have so much anger yet, I have seen ( a not just in my personal regards) that whenever someone says something that goes against what she says.. she comes back with something angry.
I don't always say that. I'm simply going by the verbiage on the posts and seeing Loosie slam many people here in the past few weeks. Only recently has your verbiage been of the slamming nature.
Not a good example, maybe pray on that as well. (and not being sarcastic but since you believe in prayer maybe ask God or whomever you believe in to guide you)
I already do that and I'm willing to stand up for my beliefs.
and yes Raine you can go ahead and start to attack me, but I just noticed you too not just me and loosie and whomever have a TON of anger.. and since you believe in God.. shouldn't you be turning the other cheek instead of spitting back with the same negative energy? I thought that was what your God taught?
It is admirable those that can turn the other check. Alas, I am not perfect and hope I will always have a bit of fire in me.
and fyi..not everyone fasts with some spiritual component.
Agreed. But those that do should not be slammed for their motives.
and btw Raine if you want to work on figuring out when you are hungry.. you may want to check into 'retraining' your stomach and mind.. by starting out with having set timed meals.. a schedule and eating frequently (when you're not fasting) smaller meals every 2-3 hrs.. so that your body relearns and you use that food to fuel your body.. thus not wanting to overeat or falling into old patterns. After awhile the body will adapt and you will be able to eat until satisfied and your body will tell you when it needs food.
Who said I was hungry? I'm on day 3 of my current fast.
Just a quick educated suggestion, you can take it or leave it. I would go into greater detail but I figure you'll just ignore it and attack me or something, so I won't bother typing a long ordeal and explanation.
I appreciate your offer of educated suggestions and will let you know should I decide to take you up on that.
