Re: How Much Is Too Much?

Who knew that god had time to keep track of the 6 and a half billion people's bellies on this earth? He/she certainly doesn't worry about how full starving African's bellies are. Makes you wonder doesn't it?

There is no way of sounding polite here but I don't think that god gives a crap about how full your stomach is.

I don't believe in god but it's still annoying when people have to consult him for absolutely everything down to their last bowel movement.

With loving kindness,

Loosie - the vast majority of your posts makes me wonder whether this is a support forum or a debate forum.  You've made us all quite aware that life has knocked you a bitch slap...several times over.   But most of us strive to overcome adversities and not go through life with a chip on our shoulder by wailing and wringing our hands.

Fasting has been associated with spiritual beliefs for thousands of years.  For many people, they believe that God tests them in order to strengthen them and make them better people.  If someone keeps encountering the same problem, at some point they have to think what "lesson" is it they are supposed to be learning so they can stop going through the same drama.

Since this water fasting forum does not exclude the spiritual reasons for fasting, then it's ok for some of us to address that portion of it.
