Yes, i think the reason people come here wanting to lose weight, is because the fasting for weightloss forum isn't very active.
Personally i want to fast for detox and health issues, but of course weight is a factor in being healthy, so needs to be addressed first via waterfasting. It also teaches people better eating habits and reduces cravings.
That said, i also do not like it when people are always going on about 'how much weight can i lose' and don't see the whole picture, and that it is not just a quick fix but taking you on a journey, and combined with proper eating hopefully discovering many delights upon the way, as in ailments disappearing, more vitality, sharper/clearer brain, better circulation etc.
Sometimes i think they just want to lose weight and thats it. I'm not saying everyone, but you can usually tell the ones that just want the quick fix, they get into a right state, if they don't lose a pounds or two that day etc.
Fasting without the proper eating aspect, is doomed to failure imho.
