Re:

Sometimes it just feels good to rant. Good thing most can take it here.
Trysten 3000, I grew up on a farm where we killed sheep, cattle, and chickens for food. Even went frogging. There were 6 kids in my family. The 3 boys ate the meat (not big meat eaters today) as my father thought it was a mans thing to do and us girls followed my mother's vegetarian diet, especially myself. My sisters would sneak peices of meat but I went even deeper into vegetarianism then my mother. I was a rack of bones before puberty and then gained too much weight and only due to adding to much whole grain wheat to my diet. Turns out I am celiac diagnosed at age 35 with sprue brain lesions showing on my MRI. I use to handle the the clean up of the animals and we only killed what our family consumed. I eat some chicken but still do not like beef or pork but will eat beef if it has been cooked for hours and falls apart. I too loath the mistreatment of animals but do believe I function a tad bit better if I have at least eggs. I think it is wonderful that you stand by what you believe in since what you believe in teaches all of us and harms no one. The next time someone ask "why don't you eat meat?" Tell them what I tell the women when they ask, "why do you keep that old 64, it has to guzzle gas and it's not lady like?" I say to those idiotic women, "...becuase this is America, and I find it way to boring to be just like you!" Hope you have a wonderful day. HH
