Re:
Sorry if I came across mean defensive or harsh. I was feeling very bad this morning. Combination of detox + pms + the fact that I always feel I have to defend my vegetarianism.
This isn't directed at you guys, you know I love you, therefor the reason Im apologizing but gosh, it just really seems to me that more than any other lifestyle, people (like I said, not you) seem to feel the need to attack vegetarianism. I truly think I have to defend or explain my lifestyle at least twice a day on average. People at my work constantly ask me WHY WHY WHY would you not eat meat. I've explained the many reasons over and over and yet no one still seems to get it and honestly, Ive been met with something close to HATRED over my dietary choices before! People act hateful towards me, or make fun of me for it and even try to see if they can make me slip up by saying things like "MMMMM dont you want a bite of this steak?" or act like they can catch me in some sort of technicality which would make me NOT actually a vegetarian such as grilling me about where I buy my shoes or what sort of pills I take, etc. It goes on and on, there is no limit to the judgement, stupidity, and pure mean natured-ness I've been met with on this topic. I truly don't know if there is another lifestyle choice people think they can look down upon AND actually voice their dissaproval of like there is for vegetarianism. One of the reasons I broke up with my ex was because he wouldnt stop making fun of me for it and telling me every day how stupid he thought it was.
There is only so much a person can take with this. Do people mock and look down on people for not eating apples? Or if they happened to not like vegetables, they are never judged, when thats an entire food group as well. God it just gets so old, the disrespect and lack of understanding for the reasons for this lifestyle. Anyways I know you guys don't disrespect it and sorry for ranting at the wrong people, it felt good to say all that though. Sorry so off topic! /END RANT. =)
