Upton Sinclair only found problems with a VEGAN diet, which he said didn't allow him the mental concentration he needed to complete his work. He then switched to a predominantly VEGETARIAN diet which achieved this.

Science does not really validate the typical vegan diet, as this serves cultural imperatives.
Science provides us with an indicator of human nutrition which was not established by culture, but is certainly that of a herbivore or frugivore and not a carnivore or omnivore...................

Only some vegetables/grains need to be cooked to be edible and then only a tiny percentage of them.
