Re:

I have enjoyed your posts.
A few points. A lot of your passages are clearly out of context. I would implore anyone who reads these posts to read the entire chapters starting with the books prefaces to get some historical context. When Christ speaks of divisions and swords these are not things he is personally doing, but are a result of the giving of the gospel.

earlier in your first scripture reference is a great example. Starting in verse 16

16Behold, I am sending you out as sheep in the midst of wolves, so be wise as serpents and innocent as doves. 17Beware of men, for they will deliver you over to courts and flog you sin their synagogues, 18rand you will be dragged before 9governors and kings for my sake, to bear witness before them and the Gentiles. 19rWhen they deliver you over, do not be anxious how you are to speak or what you are to say, for what you are to say will be given to you in that hour. 20xFor it is not you who speak, but the Spirit of your Father speaking through you. 21zBrother will deliver brother over to death, and the father his child, and children will rise against parents and have them put to death, 22aand you will be hated by all for my name's sake. But the one who endures to the end will be saved. 23When they persecute you in one town, flee to the next, for truly, I say to you, you will not have gone through all the towns of Israel before the Son of Man comes. 24A disciple is not above his teacher, nor a servant1 above his master. 25It is enough for the disciple to be like his teacher, and the servant like his master. If they have called the master of the house Beelzebul, how much more will they malign those of his household.

You see it is not Christ against these people it is these people against Christians who have excepted the teachings of Christ.

Your passage in Romans is another example of context. Lets read more of the passage to help clarify the actual context of the verse.

9 Owe no one anything, except to love each other, for the one who loves another has fulfilled the law. 9The commandments, “You shall not commit adultery, You shall not murder, You shall not steal, You shall not covet,” and any other commandment, are summed up in this word: “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.” 10Love does no wrong to a neighbor; therefore love is the fulfilling of the law.

This passage is not about being in debt. this passage is Paul setting up more of his concepts of the law.

Romans 10

4For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to everyone who believes.1
The Message of Salvation to All
5For Moses writes about the righteousness that is based on the law, that the person who does the commandments shall live by them. 6But the righteousness based on faith says, i“Do not say in your heart, ‘Who will ascend into heaven?’” (that is, to bring Christ down) 7or “‘Who will descend into the abyss?’” (that is, to bring Christ up from the dead). 8But what does it say? “The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart” (that is, the word of faith that we proclaim); 9because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.

You see Christ is the end of the law.

Paul takes it further in Galatians 3

I will not quote it here it is an in your face chapter. But it is important to read the entire chapter. not a verse or two

The point is that no man can keep the law. No man does good aside from God.

Romans 3

10as it is written: “None is righteous, no, not one; 11no one understands; no one seeks for God. 12All have turned aside; together they have become worthless; no one does good, not even one.”

23for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God

Heck read all of Romans 3.

Heck read all of Romans
