I accept that you didn't mean harm by your post. I would ask that you accept that it does or at least can be seen that way. I was not the only one to notice it and I hadn't read the other post when I wrote mine. As you say her post did seem a bit panicky and I may be wrong but she, and many like her that I have known personally, would have taken it the wrong way, and not only that, they wouldn't have felt very comfortable confronting you about it. I think that forums that offer support should be protected from the kind of attacks that your post did come across as being.

I personally don't think that the paragraph should have any bearing on how the message is answered. There could be a number of reasons why it was in only one paragraph and who cares? And people can BE helpless victims, is it a crime to be a victim instead of the antagonist now? I have also been accused by a 'well meaning' brother of being stuck in this victim consciousness that new age doctrine likes to label us with. All the reasoning in the world cannot get you out of some situations and to be told that we're just creating our own reality is just hurtful and insulting. To me. I understand how such hard line talk is supposed to support people, but to me it really sucks in general.

But in general the way you offer support is your own business. I think you went too far this time so I spoke up. This I will always do if I feel the need.
