Re: Mirena IUD side effects and law suit
I had my IUD inserted after having my son. I gained weight, which I can never lose all the weight, it comes back faster than I can take it off. I am moody or down in the dumps all the time. I have insomnia. I have stomach and back pains, bladder problems. After two years of it I decided to have it removed. My new doctor could not remove it, but she did see it on her office ultrasound machine. No matter how many devices she tried to use, it still would not budge. That was a very painful visit and I asked her to stop. She informed me that I would need to go to the hospital to have it remove because it was so far up in my uterus, but that it was still working. I waited about another year, and decided it had to come out, I went to her again and she tried again to remove it, I reminded her of the first time and she still tried again. Last year in May I had to go into surgery to have it removed and decided that to have a tubaligation. During surgery she could not locate the IUD, it had either never been placed properly or went through the uterus and attached to my bladder and my bladder made a sack around it. I will have my Mirena for the rest of my life the doctor said it was to dangerous to remove it. The Mirena will still be working for another year.
I will never advise anyone to get this form of birth control. I would be very interested in a lawsuit, just let me know.
