My Camylobacter drama went from October to after New Year's about 3 or 4 years ago. My gastroenterologist had the first samples sent in November. I did samples in November and December. Then waited. In addition to the issues with GS needing multiple samples, my gastro's office OPTED to call in my antibiotics AFTER the holiday when they returned and saw my results...I'm a little bitter about lab testing and so forth.
Yes, I am a hesitant to trust GS again - though at least I think my insurance would pay the charges. Just looking quickly, and honestly NOT having made any thorough investigation, I'm not clear on RHRPlus' ability to take insurance. I'm on Disability. So, for me, I have to be sure that when I select a lab to pay up front, in addition to managing the symptoms, I have to be sure I can afford it. On the other hand, when I see the weeping sores and so on, I think, how can I not?
