Re: ID help. Desparate mom.
You need albendazole right freaking now.
It can be bought without a prescription and freaky stuff like this is why it is given to all children in India every 6 months. 1-2 years old get 200mg and 3 up to adult get 400mg. Start with once a day but you may have to go up to 2x/day if it is unresponsive or to completely eradicate it. The worms and wounds will start to crumble and fall apart within a day, although in severe cases, it may take 3 days to see any progress. You almost certainly will have some bad Herxheimer reactions. Read up on those before you have them.
Albendizole is safer than tabler salt and it is effective against all forms of worms or even insects that have a worm-like larval stage. Side effects are very mild, even for children. All kids in India get this medicine every year. Don't wait, this can become life threatening very fast.
This is some form of ascariasis, filariasis, or other helminth infections. Looking at the picture if the line under the skin of the child's lip looks like cutaneous larva migrans. This can be easily caught from racoons urinating and especially defecting in your yard. Anyone who walks through it barefoot will likely catch it, including pets. It cN cause their hair to twist up into painful knots. Pets need to be dewormed with Albendazole for at least three days straight. Probably taken to the vet for a series of lime-supfur dips over a 3-4 week period.
All bedding, stuffed animals, clothing, I c etc needs to be washed with Seventh Gen laundry detergent as it is made with the right essential oils to kill it in laundry. I would really recommend adding Borax to your laundry.
You also need to get a Navage nasal vacuum for everyone. Get each person their own. Wash parts in the dishwasher (hand wash main unit). You need to start getting those worms out of your sinuses - all of you - before it progresses any further. This is the only thing I know of that can get worms, larva, eggs, etc out of sinuses. If they are in there then they can hide in ears and noses easily. Navage is expensive but after seeing those pictures I know you absolutely need it.
Itraconazole will also help interrupt their life cycle. It drastically reduces how fast they can reproduce. You may or may not be able to find it online.
I also recommend Ivermectin as it can handle killing other lifestages, and Mino/doxycycline to help prevent infection as the worms spread bacteria and fungus everywhere.
Dawn blue dish soap in the bath will kill them on the surface as well as cause the dead skin to break up and exfoliate.
Then use Tecnu and/or Domeboro (both for poison ivy) in the bath which will break up the biofilm the worms leave on the skin which they use as travel routes. Lume body wash and whole body deodorant are amazingly ng new products that absolutely kill parasites in the skin as well as being antimicrobial.
Good luck. Please get to an Infectious Disease doctor and get MRIs done. It's the only only way to make sure the brain is clear.
Often there are round wounds in the skin or small burrows that masquerade as freckles or moles. These are nests or burrowed females.
Take the albendazole with a very fatty meal (ice cream, grilled cheese sandwich, pizza, whole yogurt.) 40g fat for an adult and 10g-20g for a child or however much they will eat. Fish oil counts towards this, and also helps fight them.
Again, good luck. My prayers are with you.
