True to my intentions (to drink more veges, and to try and help my inflammatory condition) my last juice last night and first one this morning were just parsley, ginger, cucumber and spinach. Frankly, yuck.
I missed my morning green apple (but then MORE than made up for it at the Mall later). I even gave the kids a bit and the reaction was "blech", "eeewwwww"....and number 3 wouldn't even try it after the other's exclamations....
My lunch and afternoon juices have been better - a bit less spinach, and instead the addition of cabbage (which I love) or celery. All that spinach was just a bit heavy and earthy I think. A good handful is enough....no need to juice 3 bunches into each glass! Oh, and this afternoon I juiced a couple of yams! Getting closer to potato time :o)
My mother minded the children this morning while I went to the Mall and bought NEW PANTS! Yeah! That would be my first shopping trip 'sans children' in 3 1/2 years. Also, the first time in that long I've bought clothes in a smaller size.
...I had been going to take a juice for sustenance when I decided to phone the info centre at the Mall (which has recently been extended) to see if the new shops include a juice bar. Yes! Double treat! I had a watermelon, pear and ginger juice which seemed very decadent and didn't fit in with my 'more veges' plan at all. But, the only veges they had were carrot and celery....I can have them any old time.....
My shopping didn't stop at the pants. I was able to buy DH's bithday presents in peace and quiet.....with no threats to small people to what might happen if they spill the beans between now and next week. That's not all! I got some Living Nature skincare (all natural, edible ingredients in fact!) with a voucher that's been sitting in my handbag since Christmas. A treat to myself for making it a week.
Picked the kids up and found that my mother had done some baking with them, something to take to playgroup tomorrow. *Phew* that's a bit of stress off.
Todays salt water flush was a lunchtime one. I'm still getting old junk out each day. It's quite a motivation to keep going but I think I'm going to quit at 11 days, and take 3 days to ease back into eating. I'll keep juicing until day 14 at least. I need to research a bit and find the best way to add solid food back to my diet.
...I would have loved to join the March Month juicers here on Curezone, but March just isn't the best time for me. I have DH's birthday next week, and an in-laws extended visit the week after. April's looking good, and if I can get hold of a greenstar juicer before then I'll be ready and set!
Later today I hope to make a post about what makes/would make the whole juice fast thing easier for me. Better planning and suchlike. A post for me to refer back to when planning my BIG fast.
High Point: Shopping for nice things.
Low point: None today...it's all good!
