February 5, 2011

I woke up early, and since it was the weekend, I could have slept in, but for some reason, I decided not to. I told myself that I would remain in bed until 9:00 a.m., and then get out of bed and get stuff done. I was highly motivated to get things done.

I cleaned off my dresser, collected all my prayer cards and put them where I would look at them (next to my bed) fixed the barrel of my old pirate flintlock cap pistol cigarette lighter. It has never worked, and I don't smoke, but I have had it since I was about 18 years old. I have always had it laying around my dresser, as if I the pirate side of me need it nearby. I was little Miss Fixit, as I fixed the barrel of it, as well as I fixed my closet door, moved my box shelves to be more used on my dresser. I even moved my dresser and got my dropped DVDs from behind it (6 of them) I hung my the little Ruby red oval frames with my Grand parents on my wall (that my mother send me last year, but I haven't figure out where I wanted them.

I grabbed an index card and started writing down little things that I wanted to finish in February, and that was the beginning of my goal's list. I put in my MP3 player and collected all my crochet patterns that were in my bedroom and moved them to the living room. I found a special place for my Bible so that I could use it more often when I was in my bedroom.

I even put up my handwritten scripture card back in my bathroom so I could see it every morning. It was Deuteronomy 20:4. I found it on my dresser and it gave me hope so I put it in my bathroom so I could see it more often.

“For the LORD your God is the one who goes with you to fight for you against your enemies to give you victory.” ~Deuteronomy 20:4

I moved into the living room for a bit, and put some of my books and videos away, and feed my cats, did the dishes and took out the trash. I ventured out of my house, as I had to buy a new sponge for my mop and look into picking up a forearm band to see if it would help with the slight pain I was having in my forearm. I found some lovely fresh veggies while I was at Krogers. A bag of cherry tomatoes on sale for 2 for $5.00, a bunch of asparagus (not on sale, but I didn't care. I wanted some more.) I picked up some carrot chips and a bunch of celery for the hummus that I got, as it would be healthier to eat it with those then the multi grain chips. I picked up two avocados and a small bag of baby spinach. I know it was a little bit more then I wanted to get, but it should get be by for the rest of the week, as the rest of the stuff I got the day before is frozen and I should be fine during my water fast in just 8 days away (starting on February 13, 2010). I put $23.00 of gas in my car, which almost filled it up. It was at $3.09 a gallon, and I thought I would spend the money on the gas now before it got much higher during the week.

When I got home, put my groceries away and got a little bit excited that I going to have asparagus again with my meals. I wasn't hungry at the moment, as I seemed so busy and active that I knew that I would be later once I slowed down a bit.

I cleaned a bit more, until I took a break and had a meager lunch of some multi grain tortilla chips and 3 olive hummus. It was about 3:00 p.m. I did get the forearm band and I put it on. I really seemed to work and I wasn't in any slight pain anymore, so I ventured outside and shoveled (and sweep a little bit) my deck (as it was snowing pretty heavily), my walkway and my driveway. After wards, I had the urge to play in the snow, so I did. I started building a snow sculpture of a n elephant, that was about 2 feet tall, but the head wouldn't stay on, like I wanted it. I worked hard on it for a while, got it to stay on finally. I put two long branches in it for a set of tusks and I enjoyed it and then went inside. I was frozen. It wasn't until I got in the house and started striping out of my wet coat, my wet pants that I was starting to feel very sore. It was 5:35 p.m. when I came in. And I was hungry finally. LOL

I stiffly cut up some veggies, toss together some already cut up veggies with my defrosted piece of salmon, seasoned it and stuck it into my oven to cook. I set the timer for 40 minutes to let me know when it was done, and I went limping to the bathroom to take a long hot shower. When I took my warm band off, I realized how very sore my right arms was. I shouldn't have went outside and shoveled or played in the snow. I know that I aggravated the muscles and tendons in my arm, and now I was going to feel it. After my shower, I dried off and then rubbed some Icy Hot into my skin just above the pain. It help for a while until it wore off.

I spent the rest of the night, relaxing and resting, which I enjoyed my dinner, while watching a movie. I tried reading a bit later, but my right arm didn't like it when I moved it so I just sat there doing nothing for once. I couldn't complain, as the pain I have caused was my fault and I shouldn't whine about it.

I hope my arm feels better soon.
