January 29, 2011

I had lovely night the night before, and I woke up early on Saturday morning. I was wake and up for a short while at 8:30 a.m. I stayed awake until around 10:00 a.m, and ate some bean stew with a bit of hot sauce. I pulled out a single sirloin burger patty out of the freezer, since I didn't have any fresh salmon to cook up for lunch or dinner, so I thought I would make one for lunch or dinner tonight. After wards relaxing and reading, I fell back asleep until around noon. I guess I wasn't really ready to get up LOL

I checked my sewer line, by flushing it and found it still clogged with ice, but it was going done a bit faster then it had earlier in the week. It has been a week since I have been able to use the shower or flush the toilet properly. I guess I am very lucky that I haven't have to make a BM while I have been at home. I guess that has really been a blessing. LOL. I cleaned up, and brushed my teeth, got dressed, and made my bed.

I knew that I would be going over to my best friend, Christy's house, I pulled out my soup thermos, which was hiding on my stove top, behind my utensil vase and my crock pot. I knew that I would be over there for a while, so I heated up some of my bean stew and added lots of hot sauce and seasoned it and put it in there. I knew it holds two cups, so I knew that I would starve and worry about not having something good and healthy to eat while at my friend's house. Christy has a bad habit of order pizza, so I knew that if I was over there with nothing to eat for myself, I might be tempted to have a slice or two.
As I was doing that, I also pulled the sirloin burger out of the microwave to find it defrosted. Turned on my toaster oven, I put the burger in a little ceramic dish for it to cook. I seasoned it with onion and garlic powder, a bit of black pepper. It didn't take long to cook up, and I put a slice of Swiss cheese on it. I picked up some cheese a week or so ago since I knew I should get some milk products and calcium in my system as well.

Christy thought it was funny that I brought my own dinner with me, but she knows that I have become very particular about what I eat. She knows me. LOL I was over there until very late in the night, so I am glad that I did that. LOL. The only thing was that I think I put too much hot sauce in it, as my mouth was burning. But it was a good type of burning. I watched a bit of TV while we talked. Sometimes, I just sat there and read my book, which Christy didn't mind, as she was messing around with her phone. It was just lovely to be in each other's company, even if we didn't say much for a while. We had always been like that. I guess that is why we are best friends. LOL

I called my Dad and talked to him for a little bit, while I was in my car waiting for my car to warm up, as we (Christy, Ashley and me) were going to go to Walmart soon. I walked to my Dad about a couple things. I asked him about maybe pouring/flushing some salt down my toilet, to see it it would help thaw out the frozen sewer line. He said that any salt would do, even table salt, as I didn't have sidewalk salt. I told him that I thought about it a couple days ago, when I tried flushing the toilet, and it would drain very slow. I told him that since it is draining so slow, that it is at least draining, and the salt might help thaw it out a bit more as the weather might get a bit warmer to help it along. My dad said to try it. We talked about the weather, and about the newest little dog that my father has. It is a half teacup poodle and half Pekinese, they named Pooh. My Dad says that she is so funny. We lost connection three times, but it still was fun talking to him. I really love talking to my Papa again! After my phone call, we went to Walmart and walked around for a while. We checked out the toys, and the makeup (as Christy is a big makeup wearer and I am not.) She wanted to get something to take care of the bags under her eyes. I told her to try cucumber or teabags. She said she did and they didn't work. I told her that I don't have the problem, so I didn't know what to do about it. She reminded me that I don't have the problem because I look a lot younger then I actually am. I guess she is right. I have always had the problem growing up. When I was 16 years old, people thought I was 12 years old! I still have people think that I am in in my middle 20's instead of being 14 days shy of my 37th birthday. My mother said that some day that I will enjoy it more then I do. Maybe when I am 50 years old, I will look like I am in my 30's if I am lucky. LOL She got some type of cream that would help her out. I showed Christy that yarn that I got the night before and I looked at the frozen fish, and found a good buy on wild caught frozen salmon as well as cod. I got some cod, as my boss said that cod was a good fish to eat as well.

On our way out, Christy asked me if I would like to have a pretzel dog with her and Ashley. I told her that I would rather not, and fretted about it a bit, but since it was a gift from her I decided that I would since it was later at night and hadn't eating in a couple hours, so splurging a little bit wouldn't hurt as long as I didn't do it EVERY weekend. I think she was happy that I decided to have one. I got a pretzel dog , which was more like a hot dog wrapped up in a crescent roll dough. I asked embarrassingly if they knew how many calories it was but the two ladies working there couldn't tell me. I told them it was okay, I was just curious if they knew by chance. Ashley had a pizza dog, which looked like a hotdog wrapped up with some tomato sauce, cheese and peperoni. It looked very fattening. Then again, that is probably one reason why Ashley is over 250 pounds too. She always complains that Christy is much smaller then she is, which Christy only weights 180 pounds (as she just lost a bit of weight and was very happy about it and told me so). I have told Ashley if she really wants to lose weight then she has to watch what she eats and when. I told her she needed to get serious about what she ate and why she ate it. She never changes, yet she always complains about her weight as well. When I came over to the house earlier, she was eating chips and dip and Swiss cakes, while she played video games with Christy's son, Jesse. Oh well, I am just happy I am more picky on what I eat. Anyway, I ate the pretzel hotdog very slow and enjoyed, as it was a lovely end to spending time with both of my friends while at Walmart. I really had a very good day with both of my friends, Christy and Ashley. I don't see Ashley a lot, but it is nice to have a little group of friends around me.

I did take a shower over at Christy's house. I was kind of against doing it for a while, but when we got back from Walmart, I really was wanting to take one, so I did take one. Christy told me take as long as I wanted, as she understood I would really want to enjoy it. I was in there for a while. It was so lovely. I washed my hair slowly, and really enjoyed the shower of hot water on my body. I don't think I have ever reveled in taking a shower as much as I did that night. When I came out, Christy was sitting in the hall way with Ashley just messing with their phones. Ashley asked me if I felt more human now. I told her “Yes!” I told her that the shower was almost orgasmic, as it was so wonderful and pleasure giving to me. Christy laughed at me, because she knows me and my love for water. So not taking a shower for a week really makes a big impression on me, as well as gives me a lot of pleasure to take one finally. I have always taken showers to relax or de-stress in the past, so it was very very relaxing and de-stressing, even though I wasn't stressed out.

Christy gave me this lovely valentine's day box that was shaped like an elephant. It had “I am peanuts over you” on the side of the box. It looked like something that someone made homemade, but Christy bought it at Walmart. I didn't see it, as I purchased my stuff first, and I didn't follow them into the Valentine's day section, as I really don't care for the holiday, as it always seems like a bummer to me. Travis was the only guy I ever dated that ever got me anything on that day, so I don't care to be reminded on how dysfunctional my relationships have been in the past that I miss out on something special as Valentine's day. It was a lovely surprise. It had chocolate covered animal crackers in it, which will remain unopened, until my birthday, which will be on February 11, 2011. I will have a couple as a treat to myself on that special day.

It was about 45 minutes later, Phil asked me if my sewer pipe defrosted yet. I told him “No”. He came back with a deal, which is not new to me with him. He said he would allow me to take a shower at his house, if I allowed him to borrow $40.00 dollars for a couple days. I told Christy and she just laughed at it. She felt that same way I did, he shouldn't be making a deal with me, but saying “Hey, let me help you out by allowing to you take a shower at my place.” Christy knows that me taking a shower at her house, is a big step with me, as I would never ask if I could use someone else's facility or usually bother anyone using it if they offered. I was just kind of dealing with my frozen sewer line as best I could without making it an added problem for someone else. I told him that I would allow him to borrow the money, as I knew that he would pay me back and if knew that he wouldn't ask me unless he was really hurting at the moment for it. I do know that his car eats gas, as he has a Cadillac, and hat eats more gas then my little neon. I can't imagine how much gas he goes through in a week, picking up his son and taking him to school. I told him that if he wanted, he could come over to Christy's house and get it, since I had it on me, as I didn't know when I would be leaving her house. He did come and get it. It was kind of an awkward moment, when he parked his car, as I haven't seen in in a couple weeks. I kind of stood out there without my coat and talked to him for a bit, and handed him the money. He said that he would get it to me on Monday or the latest on Wednesday. I told him that I should be fine until then. He asked me when I wanted to take my shower over at his house. I just said “I don't know” He said I could do so on Sunday at sometime if that was good for me. It was hard for me when he wanted to hug me. I really wanted to latch onto him and hold him longer then I got to. I knew that allowing his car to idle was only eating gas, so I made the little visit really brief. It was hard to watch him go, and it really tugged on my heart a lot to see him again. I knew that as well as I had known for a while, that I cared and loved him more then he loved me so, so it was good not to see him as often as I would have liked.

I kind of shut him out of my mind for a while, when I was at Christy's for another couple hours. We watched TV, joked about stupid stuff like women vs. men. We even swapped ring tones as she had this lovely one of the Boondock Saints prayer from the movie that I love. LOL We are love Boondock Saints, so made that ring tone Christy's character ring as she was the one that introduced me to the movie.

I got home it was almost Midnight, which is really odd for me, as I am usually home before 9 p.m. at night. We just had such a great time, that it was lovely to spend some good quality time with my best friend. I ended up pouring some table salt down the toilet and into the tub drain and flushed the toilet. It took a while for it to go down, and poured the remainder of it in the toilet and let it sit. I then went to bed for the night, I was very happy and feeling very blessed by God, even with my Mekong sleeping at my side.
