Day #4 100% Raw Vegan! 17 y
...actually beegan-vegan, coz I use bee products like honey...
DANG DANG DANG DANG DANG! I just wrote almost this entire blog entry and then hit the wrong key and the whole thing disappeared!
What I ate today was really similar to yesterday, so I won’t type it in unless someone asks me to.
And then I told about how I fixed chicken nachos for the family for dinner tonight as well as some leftovers with rice and how I found myself with my fingers to my mouth with a few grains of rice before I even knew what I was doing. Soon as I realized, I threw those grains of rice in the garbage!
I can’t tell you how many times I found myself thinking I wa ... read more
MSM, Raw Friends, Sungazing 17 y
...and raw books, the decision to eat all raw, and more!
Another thing I am trying to take but most often forget is MSM powder in my water. It’s for the sulfur. David (Avocado) Wolfe recommends this very highly as do many others. I keep forgetting why I want to use MSM, but every time I look it up it’s like, ”Oh yes, definitely!” I have such a selective memory, and I’m afraid it has gotten even more selective as I have gotten older. However I do expect my memory will get better and better over time as I continue with the 100% raw vegan diet.
Another thing Avocado (and others) talk a lot about is the importance of writing down goals. They s ... read more
Day #3 Raw -- Food and Thoughts 17 y
It's been a long, but good, day on raw
First, here is what I ate today:
A smoothie with:
3 bananas
1 Fuji apple
3 celery sticks (or actually 5 celery heart sticks)
1 3/4 cups water
It took a while to drink all that. I had half right away, the other half a couple hours later.
Then I had a snack of 5 raw almonds.
Then I made some ”Seaweed Sauerkraut” using that recipe I posted yesterday but with fewer ingredients, just: green cabbage, a couple cloves of garlic (which was not in that recipe), dulse, nori, just a couple pinches of cayenne pepper and black pepper and Celtic sea salt. I put very little of the dules ... read more
Game Plan and Kim Chee Recipe 17 y
My current game plan and a great recipe for making homemade Seaweed Vegetable Kim Chee
Well, I hadn’t really planned it this way, but it worked out pretty perfectly that the first day I attempted to go 100% raw vegan this past week was the day before my current vacation from work, which will last about 2 1/2 weeks. In other words, during my ”enforced vacation” I would otherwise have too much time on my hands, not having the wherewithal to actually take a ”real” vacation right now.
But now I realize this is just perfect. I can go ahead and become totally and obsessively preoccupied about raw diet, exercise and all things healthy during my initial ”kick-off” period.

Inspirational Quotes 17 y
It all gets so much easier when raw eating has become habit!
Here are a couple quotes helping me this week. I have the first one taped to the top of my computer monitor:
”Repetition is a little secret of those who are truly blessed with great health, energy and abundance...repetition makes habits, and habits create lifestyles.”
-- Not sure who said this but I think I got it from Kevin Gianni at
http://www.rawsummit.com
”Good ol’ Ben Franklin said that it takes 21 days to establish a habit and science has proved him right.”

A few more superfoods 17 y
A few other things I yet still forgot to mention!
I also forgot to mention that just about every day I have about a tablespoon each of raw cacao nibs, goji berries and extra virgin coconut oil. I like to eat these mixed together. When the weather is cool the coconut oil gets halfway solid and that’s the way I like it best. When it’s hot I like to mix them up and put in the refrigerator long enough to solid up the coconut oil.
Cacao is very, very high in magnesium, which is something most Americans are deficient in. There are many other good things about raw cacao, probably best expoused in David Wolfe and Shazzie’s book NAKED CHOCOLA ... read more
Superfoods, Exercise and Sungazing 17 y
Just realized I forgot to mention the superfoods I take every day.
The superfoods I take are raw and are basically whole foods that have been dried and powdered and put into capsules. Except for the krill oil. It’s a liquid.
I take one krill oil capsule per day (for Omega-3);
2-3 capsules of maca root 2-3 times/day (for kickstart to thyroid and balancing of hormones);
2-3 capsules of organic kelp powder 2-3 times a day (for the range of 72 well-balanced minerals found in kelp and so hard to get from today’s produce);
2-3 capsules of bluegreen algae (AFA) from Klamath Lake, especially for its chlorophyll since I can’t get much in the way of ... read more
Day #2 being 100% Raw Vegan 17 y
After about 16 years of false starts, now I am 100% raw vegan!
Since I didn’t get this started on Day #1, I’ll record here what I ate yesterday:
Early in the day: 2 organic Fuji apples
Midday: 4 (short) organic celery sticks blended with 2 small bananas and 1 cup water
Dinner: A salad made with 1 large organic cucumber, mostly peeled and sliced thin, 1 organic carrot peeled and also thin-sliced, some shavings of white onion, alfalfa and clover sprouts, and a little bit of iceberg lettuce. Dressed with black pepper, Celtic sea salt, about 1/3 of a large lime, and (generous) olive oil. Usually I add sunflower seeds and pumpkin seeds to this sa ... read more
From "The Secret" by David Icke 17 y
From the last chapter of the book, "Breaking the Spell"
”What I am about to outline is the information that the Brotherhood [aka Illuminati or Global Elite] most want to suppress. It is the knowledge that you are in control of your destiny and no-one else is. You always have been and always will be.
”Reading this book you may find that strange. After all, have I not detailed how the Brotherhood have controlled the world for thousands of years? Yes, but how have they done that? By manipulating the way humanity thinks and feels. How we think and feel creates our physical experience and if we allow an outside force to manipulate our mind and ... read more
Alex Jones Quotes 17 y
Say what you want about Alex Jones, but the fact is he is a man on a mission that takes a lot of passion and courage
”My soul wins by doing the right thing. The world would only be a worse place if we gave up and gave in to evil. We must fight no matter what the odds of winning are. But if we stand up and fight, and have courage, humanity has a 100% chance of winning.”
”Government-sponsored terrorism [is the most serious issue facing the American people]. Because that leads to domestic police state and imperial wars. We must expose the fact that 9/11 was an inside job, that the war on Iraq is a fraud, and that an attack on Iran is an even bigger scam.”

This Cooked Planet 17 y
I love these lyrics so much I'm changing the name of my Blog!
THIS COOKED PLANET by The Healing Waters Band
Something’s gone wrong here
I don’t think that it’s funny
A fat old dude attaches interest on free money
We’re all in debt up into the trillions
We’re fighting banks and their Lords the Reptilians
We’re having fun here livin’ in the trap
Why do we still put up with all this crap?
If it works for free you know they’re gonna ban it
People come with me, we can save this cooked planet!
The time is right for you to roll the dice
The cooked world’s all you’ve got to sacrifice
So just let go you’ll get a better deal

GMO Corn Found Toxic to Animals 17 y
One major problem is that regulatory agencies rely heavily on research submitted by biotech companies, which have obvious incentives to provide data that favors their products, and to suppress unfavorable findings or “analyze” it out of existence.
Genetically Modified Corn Found Toxic to Animals
by Craig Weatherby
Courtesy of Vital Choice Seafood
Most biologists have been receptive to genetically modified food crops, seeing nothing inherently dangerous in the process.
They’ve reserved their caution for modifications that could clearly prove damaging to other organisms in the environment, or to consumers.
But research by scientists unconnected to biotech firms have raised some alarms, with some results providing reason for serious concern.
And many farmers who embraced GM crops -- such as herbicide-resistant “ ... read more
Shut Up and Dance 17 y
A small collection of dance quotes
”Dancing with the feet is one thing, but dancing with the heart is another.” ~anonymous
”The Dancer believes that his art has something to say which cannot be expressed in words or in any other way than by dancing... there are times when the simple dignity of movement can fulfill the function of a volume of words. There are movements which impinge upon the nerves with a strength that is incomparable, for movement has power to stir the senses and emotions, unique in itself. This is the dancer’s justification for being, and his reason for searching further for deeper aspects of his art.” ... read more

I’LL TAKE YOU HOME AGAIN, KATHLEEN
(Thomas Alva Edison’s favorite song and which was played at the inventor’s funeral)
written by Thomas P. Westendorf
I’ll Take You Home Again, Kathleen
Across the ocean wild and wide
To where your heart has ever been
Since first you were my bonnie bride.
The roses all have left your cheek.
I’ve watched them fade away and die
Your voice is sad when e’er you speak
And tears bedim your loving eyes.
Refrain:
|: Oh! I will take you back, Kathleen
To where your heart will feel no pain
And when the fields are fresh and green
I’II take you to ... read more
