Wanting More Raw and Living Food
Rebelling From the Idea of 80% Raw
Date: 7/27/2009 4:11:03 PM ( 15 y ) ... viewed 54492 times Funny thing. Now that I'm transitioning forward into the raw and living and super foods, I find that I am wanting to cheat on the 20% part that would be cooked or uncool.
HALLELUJAH, Brothers and Sisters, I FEEL the MAGIC...!!!! I look at something that looked yummy in the old way of things looking yummy and they have lost their giant appeal and drawing power they once had. They don't fool me, because I KNOW I will feel so much better without them -- ESPECIALLY, for me, things like cheese (even raw cheese) and "just a little" cooked chocolate fudge. That "homemade" locally produced chocolate fudge I was getting addicted to has SUGAR in it AND the cocoa in it has been COOKED.
I learned something new about cooked cocoa/chocolate this week: it is SUPER INFLAMMATORY...! Plus re-learning again and again why I really MUST just say no to most of the processed sugars and sugar substitutes out there. Yes, I am a SLOW learner. I learn fast, then I forget fast, then I get the kick in the pants, then I re-learn again, and some things just take me a WHILE to GET IT...I mean REALLY "GET IT," yanno?!
My HUGE and SURPRISE success this past week was this sudden AVERSION I have to things like the in-past-so-addictive chocolate fudge square and the goat cheese feta. Being a Kapha constitution I may as well call cheese "Instant Fat." It's like instant karma that STICKS TO MY BODY...! As much as the thought of how pleasant the flavor, it's like NO. I don't want that. I don't want to spoil the great experience of being on the Best Diet Ever.
It's become more dear to me. More ... well ... Sacred to me, what I put in my body.
If I can't put it in my mouth and seriously think of it as a sacrament of communion with the One Life Force of Love, I just don't want it.
I am trusting that the Angels and Divas will come to my rescue if and when I end up in situations where I am "expected" to eat otherwise. Not to say I'm going 100% raw vegan, because I'm not. I'll use some (small) portions of cooked ingredients from time to time, from chipotle powder to maple syrup to Mayan Mojo. And I do eat raw eggs (but only the kind that eat grass and bugs from local free-range pastures). And I plan to start taking Krill Oil soon. Krill is like a teeny shrimp-like sea animal that proliferates to a point that even with everyone taking it for their Omega-3 they are sustainable.
Thanks for reading my blog. This may be my last entry here as I have gotten very involved in and loving David "Avocado" Wolfe's site "The Best Day Ever." I really appreciate this site too for it's many special facets, though, and will be checking back here now and again, even if not to update my blog -- though I'll try to remember to report back here any really SUPER news...!
Best,
Michele ("Avocadess" on Best Day Ever)
