DANG DANG DANG DANG DANG! I just wrote almost this entire blog entry and then hit the wrong key and the whole thing disappeared!
What I ate today was really similar to yesterday, so I won't type it in unless someone asks me to.
And then I told about how I fixed chicken nachos for the family for dinner tonight as well as some leftovers with rice and how I found myself with my fingers to my mouth with a few grains of rice before I even knew what I was doing. Soon as I realized, I threw those grains of rice in the garbage!
I can't tell you how many times I found myself thinking I wanted to taste things I fixed them tonight, but each time I gave it a firm "NO!" Yes!!!!!!!!!!! (smile)
I also wrote about how I went 100% raw vegan a little over a month ago but that after 7 or 8 days with no cheating I fell off the wagon just because someone pressed me to taste his deep-fried salmon cakes. I protested at first, but then gave in and had a (truly tiny) bite. Which did not even taste good. But that opened the door, and next thing I know I'm taking little bites of this and that every single day for the next month!!! So if that does not prove how compulsive I am with my eating, then never mind, okay? Ha.
Anyhow, I was reminded of that when I read the following quote in the new updated "12 Steps to Raw" (by Victoria Boutenko) that came in the mail today (and which I've been reading so voraciously I am almost halfway through the book already):
"I have watched some persons coming off a raw-food diet as a result of just one tiny bite of a cooked delicacy, after successfully staying raw for many months or even years."
No morsel of food is worth that to me. Not anymore. It's my LIFE I'm talking about here. I'm taking it back!!!
Okay, back to my reading now...
P.S. I keep forgetting to mention that I drink about a gallon of good water every day. It's actually well water so it's pretty pure but I put it through the Britta water filter due to the fact it comes through pipes. Once I move in a couple months I'm going to need to find a new filtration system!! I wonder if Berkey water filters would be good enough? I just love the way they are made...
