Oh honey! You and I share a very very similar story. If it wasn’t late I would share a book with you. You have demodex mites. Your symptoms are IDENTICAL to mine. I’ve spent well over a year researching these things. The first dermAtologist blew me off. I was crying in front of her and left devastated. I asked her to biopsy and scrape my face. Nope....she wouldn’t. I went back to the same practice but with a different doctor. THis time I had pulled 3-4 of the plugs out. I KNEW they were mites. I just needed Proof. Hi! Would really help me a lot to find out how your appointment with the dermatologist went. I saw one who shipped a skin biopsy off to a lab. It didn’t show any demodex, but I’m fairly certain that they’re suppose to look at skinnscrappings and not send off a sample, even in formaldehyde. I can’t find the information again, which is extremely frustrating, especially considering this dermatologist pointed out that she couldn’t see any in my skin while sitting a few a feet away and having not taking an up close look at all yet. I don’t know, Paulette. I don’t have a TV. I rented the DVDs for the first two series, and my cousins own the VHS of Frontier House. If you have Netflix then you could rent them. Otherwise you could check the PBS website (or your state’s PBS website) and find out if they are showing it anytime soon. I have really enjoyed these shows! Has anyone seen these PBS historical reality series? I have seen the ones in the title, in that order (working on the frontier house now). There are other ones that I hope to watch later. These are really interesting shows, as they put modern families into historical shoes, living for months as people of the time would have lived - from the house they live in, the clothes they were, the food they eat, and how they occupy their time! It has really made me think! This is good TV. Plus, the series are only about 6 episodes or so, not 24 like most shows these days.   [End]

I recently watched the DVDs of ”Project Runway: Season 2”. I really enjoyed this show. It’s a reality show where aspiring fashion designers have different designing challenges each week, eliminating from 16 down to 3 people. I am not a big TV show person, but caught this show a couple of times and it was hilarious! What an eye opener, and the couples really get to miss each other and learn some very good lessons. It was amazing to see how a person that would appear to not have the possibilty of making an impact on the ”guest” family, will make changes that really improves their quality of life. Most surprising, to see how well the children responded to new ideas, and how easily they opened up. It is good that they have established rules, that specify following each other family’s ways for one week each. ...

I hear ya-- On my low salary, I have to work with what i can afford-- so it’s mostly Payless Shoestore, or any fortunate sale purchase of a good name brand that happened to be marked down. I like to learn the fashion rules for my body type- but that doesnt mean spending more than I can afford. Luckily, there are lots of selections in the typical department store or TJMAxx. Yeah, that is a great show! When I get around a TV I like to watch that show. It’s funny, entertaining, and informative, too. Although sometimes I think they are too unrealistic for people’s lifestyles. I mean, here they are buying clothing that is WAY more expensive than that person will ever buy again (in many cases). The Andy Griffith show is my favorite on TVland.. It brings back more innocent times--before I was born. Don Knott’s as Barney Fife was one of my favorite character on that show- he was so funny!!! I wish modern TV would get back to that innocence in thier programming and take pointers from shows that aired back in the 50’s. Not all of us born in the 60’s and beyond want sex and violence on TV. Anyone watch ”What Not to Wear” on the TLC channel? The TLC channel is the only channel I watch besides TVland and the weather channel. I love that show--- and get a lot of good tips on how to dress for my body type for my job. I am not into following fashions, but have always loved timeless good quality classic clothing in nice fabrics. I didn’t realize Don Knotts died, thank you for posting this. I also love the Andy Griffith Show. I particularly like the episode where Barney joins the choir and ends up singing that solo where another man is singing in the microphone behind the stage! I also like some of Don Knotts’ movies, such as Apple Dumpling Gang and Shakiest Gun in the West. Watching the Andy Griffith show is enjoyable and relaxing at the same time.
