It’s until you get diarrhoea. If you have issues when taking Ascorbic Acid it would be a good idea to take it in a none acidic form such as sodium ascorbate or magnesium ascorbate. BTW Ascorbic acid can be reacted with alkalines such as Sodium bicarb or my favourite, Magnesium Carbonate to form vitamin C salts such as sodium ascorbate or magnesium ascorbate. I should have been doing this for whipples disease all along if I do too much vitmain c I get some weird side effects maybe it’s due to a herx reaction I’m not sure. I wish I had the money to get iv vitamin c that’s probably what I really need right now. hi Tay, I also have diagnosed gastritis ad SIBO. I am also wondering whats the least inflammatory form of vitamin c to take? What I usually do is take only 1-2 g at a time per amount of water or juice. I find that the C doesn’t dissolve completely if it’s too much. I just drink as many glasses of liquid that it takes to get to the desired amount of grams. Hope this helps! Check out Andrew Saul if you haven’t. You might be relatively Magnesium deficient.....Your magnesium requirement might be a lot higher than you think is needed. It might be worth taking a lot more Magnesium. 400mg is fairly low IMO. Something which might be worth trying is ascorbic acid powder mixed with Magnesium carbonate which forms Magnesium Ascorbate. Magnesium carbonate is a bright white powder when appears cloudy when added to water. Adding Ascorbic acid powder causes a fix acid/base reaction and when the quantities are correct it turns clear. I have experienced this as well over few rounds of 5-10gm of ph balanced vit C powder. Leg cramps are usually indicative of electrolyte imbalance in body. I haven’t figured out what other electrolytes are being flushed out due to high vit C, but I find stopping use of vit C will get rid of my cramps over a few days as body restores the balance. I do take Zinc, Mag before bed time, which I am sure helps the balance.   [End]

Actually, what worked for your husband is a significant change in diet and lifestyle, and vit C may or may not be the thing that fixed the problem. ascorbic acid is vitamin c with a low ph ie acidic whereas sodium carbonate is washing soda with a high ph ie alkaline. They can be mixed in an acid/base reaction to form sodium ascorbate when in the correct quantities will increase the ph ie reduce the acidity of the vitamin c making it easier on the stomach. A similar process can be done using sodium bicarbonate which is usually more likely considered to be food grade and reacts better with acids due to it’s higher ph. I want to continue taking my probiotic, MSM with Vitamin C, Iodine, and P&B shake daily. The question is - what’s the correct order to take them? Would colloidal silver be beneficial to take as well? I’m not currently pregnant, but was wondering if I could continue taking those listed items while being pregnant. Hi, so for HSV get a cotton ball or a pad and soak it with colloidal silver and leave it there until the HSV retreats back down the nerve.
