Much of what WS says about food intolerances is true. Well i did answer your question because i already tried a lot of the stuff that you recommended. I did a gluten free diet, i dont eat sugar in general and I did a 3 days water fast back in the days without any changes. I also changed my toothpaste etc. Thats why i said i dont think its an allergy cause i guess while i was taking Accutane I peeled of the dead skin and caused a trauma. Now my body doesnt know how to rebuild healthy skin on my lips. Just putting this out there because it’s definitely made an improvement in my feet. I’ve never known the cause of my peeling feet- candida/ athlete’s foot/ ??? but I’ve always battled with it (20 years maybe). I’ve been using rice water for my hair and skin and have since noticed a major improvement in my feet. When they peeled initially the skin came off easily in the bath #tmi and my feet have been left soft and smooth, and I only have a very minor amount of flaky skin on my heels left. I didn’t test positive for lyme disease coinfections, but one could still have the bacteria causiing lyme disease without the coinfections. In the link I posted about lyme tests, it was regarding lyme tests in the USA. It also stated that you need to have different lyme tests in other coutnries since there are different bacteria strains so I don’t know which lyme test is best in your country. Tergot and all, I have some information for you to ponder over...my lyme test results. I’ve been trying to figure out which type of flagella bacteria (bacteria with tails) I have. It’s called P41 KD (IgG) Band in the Western Blot Lyme test. From memory, I think the bacteria that causes periodontitis may have a tail. It could be related to imbalance of good bacteria in your gut if you don’t have celiac disease or gluten intolerance. Those with celiac disease are known to have imbalance of good bacteria...maybe some more than others or that’s how the peeling lips might happen. It would be useful to know whether it was a false positive reading to lyme you may have had or a positive reading to lyme your body is still fighting. If it turns out you still have the bacteria that is the cause of your EC without a shadow of a doubt and this is the case for me also. That generally means that there is still something in your diet triggering premature cell death. It could be some other grains, or some other seeds (beens or nuts) or it could be milk products, or even oranges, lemons, food additives, sugar etc. Keep searching. I think the DNA test may be useful to detect what automimmune disease you may have if EC is related to an automimmune disease. Celiac disease is a serious genetic autoimmune disorder. This is why I’m not sure gluten is the only factor. I’m certain something is not quite right, or it may be my body detoxing from it. It would be useful to have that information on lyme. I was just told a lyme test done privately would cost £750, so that’s $950 equivalent. No explanation for why it is so expensive or it’s accuracy. I’m hoping what I’ve already paid for will have information similar to that genome website but surely DNA mapping is only useful if you have a gene mutation or something like that? I’ll look for my past Lyme test results to provide that information. When I discussed my peeling lips issue with a holistic doctor in the past, she never heard anyone else with celiac disease complain about peeling lips. She was gluten sensitive and her sister had celiac disease. That’s why I think it may be damage celiac disease caused or not a common symptom of celiac disease as she stated.
