I agree with you on this. Acid -Alkaline 'balance' is very important.
Although, I have never tried Pickiling Lime, because I am wary of its Calcium content, I did try Baking Soda.
I was drinking BS + ACV in water, and sometimes BS alone. Later, I found out that I came down with a case of Bacterial Vaginosis. And BV is caused by "folic Acid" deficiency.
I started connecting the dots, and found out that Baking Soda, and for that matter "any anta-acid" which has the potential of neutralising the stoamch acid, has the potential of causing depletion of B-vitamins. people who take plenty of anta-acids, are doing a lot of harm actually, because they are depleting themselves of B-vitamins.
I immediately stopped BS and started a high potency b-complex and additional Folic acid, and the symptoms are under control.
So, in the end, stay away from stomach acid neutralisers. Eat healthy, drink water with some sea-salt in it, and oxygenate your body. Oxygenation will increase the alkalinity of the body...
