Re: Leaky Gut, the Ultimate Problem???

I have tried like everything. I tried ACV, made my stomach burn, although I did not add the bicarbonate as suggested to it. I think the key to healing leaky gut is to think soothing. Anything that soothes the gut is good. Any irritants whether it be foods, supplements and such make my gut wig out badly (bloating, gas, pain, burning).

I did try the biotin, zinc carnozine and msm and did not find they helped. But I took them separately, not all together so don't know. I may try it again, but not the zinc carnosine because that seemed to aggravate my gut. The biotin and MSM did not, but the MSM did cause me to be very constipated.

And I agree, anything that causes me to have increased constipation makes my gut so much worse. I tried l-glutamine to help my leaky gut, but got sooo constipated and it seemed to make me worse. I have read that l-glutamine is very constipating.

Things like slippery elm and marshmallow root, help me a little because they are soothing to the gut.

Interesting thing also is anything that increases my immune system makes my gut worse as well. I think it is because my immune system is already jacked up because of the leaky gut.

It is almost as if when I try to detox at all I get worse, not so much because of die off but because of the leaky gut, things are able to get into my system that shouldn't because my gut is leaky and it causes problems. So for me the key is to try to heal the Leaky Gut and then try to detox. I think if your gut is not strong enough to handle the toxins when one detoxs, one is going to have problems. This is why I think I react to probiotics in a bad way, it is leaky out of my gut into my bloodstream and causing problems.

Leaky Gut is just soooo hard to fix. I read that it typically takes like 3-4 months to fully heal. What a pain!
