Lake Macatawa USED to be the Black River? What the H-E-double toothpicks did they do? Forgive my spotty memory, where exactly is(was) the Black River, I remember seeing it as a child & yes indeedy it was BLACK!...not a good swimming river, very fast-moving. & It was BIG. Seems like it was a pretty major river & they dammed it up? aaaeeee..... *sigh*
I haven't lived in those parts for almost 30 years, I've been really homesick lately...aaahhhhh the powder sand beaches, the lovely(clean) inland lakes, the fireflies, the soft skies, the HUGE oak trees, there's one I miss in particular, I'll bet it's still alive:)
