Re: parkinson's disease - part 2
Amazing and encouraging to see how far you've come in your health trapper.
I've shown these postings to my husband. We are blessed I feel because I believe he is fairly early into the Parkinson's. As I stated earlier he first noticed his tremors a few years ago while recuperating from Achilles surgery. He went to the Dr. a year later for a diagnosis but was sidetracked with prostate cancer. So as far as we know the symptoms didn't appear until fairly recently. He was diagnosed last summer put on Mirapax and took that for a couple of months with no known improvement nor do I believe any side effects. We were reluctant to go back to the neurologist because I didn't like his bedside manner. After about a half an hour of having my husband walk, touch his nose with his eyes closed etc. he made his diagnosis.. NEVER ONCE DID HE LOOK US IN THE EYE... simply handed us a pamphlet on the caretakers guide (Mirapax pamphlet) and out the door we went.
My husband did obtain a prescription for Amantadine subsequent to the Mirapax. He didn't start taking this until March. He has had no improvement from this either. This past week he has started to wean himself down to 1 a day (was taking 2). As I stated earlier in many ways we are blessed because of the fact that he has not heavily relied on medication. I feel we are much further ahead and in a prime position to start on a more holistic approach.
I have spoken with him in the past regarding cleanses, flushes etc. He has reluctantly agreed to go this route. He knows once he starts on multiple medications this will probably no longer be an option. My problem is I'm just not sure where to start. As I said in another post, I just bought the water distiller and am waiting on the Vitalizer plus machine to arrivel. At this point I might interject we live on a lake in Michigan called Lake Macatawa. The lake is highly desirable to live on because you can access Lake Michigan through it. You would not believe the gorgeous multi million dollar homes on this lake. Van Andel and DeVos both have homes here along with many other high profile people. The lake is filthy! We live in a condo and a couple of blocks down the street from us there was a very large Pfizer plant.I'd love to take a picture of it and post it. From the water side it looks like something out of a horror movie. On the other side of us a block down was a BSFA plant who produced pigmentation for colors. Both had grandfather clauses that allowed them to dispense God only know what into the lake. They have both have recently closed down. Across the lake is a Heinz plant and there are a few other industrial businesses. Large freighters come and go on a regular basis to unload coal and gravel to a power plant. We have a seadoo in the water and I'm afraid to step into the water so it just sits there for the most part. The boat has been drydocked since his achilles injury. I can't help but wonder how polluted our water must be. Hence my decision to buy the distiller and vitalizer plus machine. My husband has no problem with the water and from time to time I actually catch him getting a glass out of the faucet. AHHHHHHHHHH!! No doubt he thinks I'm an over-reactive nag. Am I????
I had thought a clease was a good place to start but I'm not sure which one. I did try to get him to do a
Colon Cleanse a year and a half ago but he gave up half way through it because it was such an effort for him to drink the necessary amount of water. I had looked at the DNR,In. products. They look easy to do but I haven't spoken with anyone who has personally tried them. Any suggestions or comments on this?
I'll stop here as this is where trapper indicated would be a good place to start, with cleansing.
One more thing. He did agree for me to at least call Dr. Olree's office. We are going to be in the area soon and maybe we could meet with him if he deems appropriate. I think he did take 1 of the Promaline
Iodine tablets this morning.
Thanks again for your interest in this subject matter.
